CARYN LUBETSKY

A HERO AMONG US...

The Childhood Cancer Project is honored to have Caryn Lubetsky running for our team!

SO WHO IS CARYN?

A loving mother of three, a devoted wife, a world-class athlete, a brilliant lawyer, as well as a dedicated law professor, Caryn possesses many talents. Somehow, she makes time for her relentless passion for helping others.

Fortunately for The Childhood Cancer Project, Caryn shares the same determination to help put an end to those dreaded words that parents of an estimated 400,000 children and adolescents around the world, hear every year.... “YOUR CHILD HAS CANCER.”

On March 12, 2019, NIKE honored Caryn for her successful world record, “most triathalons hauling another person in a month.” Caryn set the Guinness World Record (completing 400 miles of triathlons while pushing/pulling her partner Kerry Gruson, a paraplegic endurance athlete in four race days over the course of just eight days throughout the State of Florida) and also holds the Guinness World Record for Fastest Marathon pushing an adult in a wheelchair.
.

AND IF 2 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS AREN'T IMPRESSIVE ENOUGH, CARYN ALSO:

• Was selected for the second time to be 1 of 100 RUNNERS GLOBALLY to compete in Badwater, THE MOST DIFFICULT FOOTRACE WORLDWIDE (only 27 women were chosen) and came in 4th overall.

• Was selected to be 1 of 6 runners to run with a quadriplegic for the New York City Marathon
• Is a four-time Ironman (In two of these 140.6 mile triathalons, she pushed/pulled Kerry Gruson, her
quadriplegic race partner throughout)

• Pier to Pier 125 miler female champion

• Icarus 24 hour Ultra Fest Female Champion
• Has competed in over forty-five marathons, four Ultramarathons, three 50K Ultramarathons, two 12-hour, one Extreme three day 300 mile triathlon and
three 6-hour Ultramarathons, FINISHING IN THE OVERALL PODIUM IN EACH AND EVERY RACE!

Last Year, Caryn competed in the “Keys 100 Ultramarathon” in honor of The Childhood Cancer Project, raising over $100,000. After coming across the finish line among one of the top runners, having run the last 30 or so miles with a fractured foot, Caryn’s words were, “we can do so much more if I run for us nationally.”

Caryn is a childhood cancer advocate as well as a founder and dedicated board member of The Childhood Cancer Project.
